This event was the last of our Summer evening bus trips for this year, and featured another interesting bus from the Chapelhall-based fleet of WJC Coaches. This was DOC 41V, a Leyland National Mk2, ex-West Midlands Travel 7041, new in 1980, and now fitted with a DAF engine. The bus took us on a very pleasurable “Nash Thrash” through the streets of north and west Edinburgh via Silverknowes, Clermiston and Hermiston with the usual photo stops along the way. Many thanks to John Carson again for letting us have the use of his bus and for driving it himself.
