On this occasion, we were treated to a choice of two buses to ride upon, for “The Three Bridges Tour”. A Mercedes Benz Citaro - bus 64002 (LT02 NTY) - was provided by First Scotland East from their Musselburgh depot, and driven by ETG member Donald Stirling, along with a brand new Plaxton Panther coach - BX11 GVU - owned by Edinburgh Coach Lines, who had possession of it only three hours earlier. The vehicles were to take a route west and north to include the new Clackmannanshire Bridge, the Kincardine Bridge and the Forth Road Bridge. Unfortunately the Citaro developed a fault at Grangemouth and was unable to complete the journey, after the Panther set off back toward Edinburgh, but we were rescued by First and returned safely. Despite the mechanical setback, another good evening was had. Thanks to First Scotland East and Edinburgh Coach Lines for providing their vehicles.
